Commitment: Flexible, approximately 2-4 hours per week/event, as agreed based on project schedule.

Role Summary:
Community Mind Connect is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Volunteer Smart Phone Videography/Photography/Content Creator. This role is vital for capturing the essence and impact of our community projects, workshops, and events. Working closely with the founder and project managers, you will help tell CMC's story visually, showcasing the positive change we bring to the Lancaster district through engaging content for our social media channels and promotional materials. Your contributions will directly amplify our reach and demonstrate the value of our work.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture high-quality video footage and photographs using a smartphone at various Community Mind Connect events and workshops.
Document behind-the-scenes moments, participant engagement, and project outcomes.
Edit raw footage and photos into engaging short-form videos and compelling images suitable for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Develop creative content ideas that align with CMC's mission and project themes.
Ensure all content is captured with appropriate consent from participants (guidance and consent forms will be provided).
Organize and deliver content files in a timely manner, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines.
Person Specification:
We are looking for individuals who possess a combination of the following skills, experience, and qualities:
Essential:
A strong commitment to the mission and values of Community Mind Connect.
Proficiency in Smartphone Videography & Photography: Demonstrated ability to capture stable, well-lit, and clear video and photo content using a modern smartphone.
Basic Video Editing Skills: Experience with smartphone-based video editing apps (e.g., InShot, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve Mobile, Adobe Rush Mobile) to create short, engaging clips.
Basic Photo Editing Skills: Familiarity with smartphone-based photo editing apps to enhance images (e.g., Snapseed, Lightroom Mobile).
Understanding of Social Media Formats: Knowledge of best practices for content creation on platforms like Facebook and Instagram (e.g., aspect ratios, video lengths, engaging visuals).
Creativity & Storytelling: An eye for capturing compelling visuals and a knack for telling a story through video and photography.
Reliability & Punctuality: Ability to attend scheduled events and deliver content by agreed deadlines.
Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication, especially when interacting with project participants and the CMC team.
Integrity, impartiality, and a willingness to act in the best interests of the organisation.
Willingness to dedicate the necessary time and effort to the role.
Desirable:
Experience with creating content for non-profit organizations or community projects.
Familiarity with the Lancaster and Morecambe area.
